Support & Warranty

Devices covered by a manufacturer warranty are, in the first instance, supported directly by the simulator manufacturer during the warranty period—although manufacturers often engage us to carry out warranty repairs for them when required.

Occassionally, during the warranty period, a manufacturer may require a member of a customers staff to carry out software or hardware changes. For a fee, AST can provide a Field Service Engineer to take on this responsibility. Details on services we provide can be found here.

Outside a manufacturers warranty period we provide both onsite and telephone support for most major brands of simulators.

There are a range of ways customers can use our services. We offer flexible payment terms and discounts for pre purchased blocks of support time. Details of our services offerings and how we charge can be found here. 

Service fees are generally paid in advance by EFT or credit card. Travel and expenses are charged at cost in advance.

Each year Aviation Simulator Technology allocates an amount of time (at no charge) to assist non-profit flying schools and smaller aviation organisations finding it difficult to maintain their simulator programs. Within this program our time is provided at no charge, parts and consumables are charged at cost, and travel & expenses are partially subsidised.
